A smile is one of my favorite things! As a portrait photographer, this is probably pretty obvious, but I truly never get tired of seeing a senior come to life in front of the lens and light up a frame with a beautiful grin.
Brooke has a stunning smile that matches her bright and sunny outlook on life! She is part of the Cinco Ranch High School Class of 2019, and she is thrilled to be stepping into the next chapter of her life in just a few short weeks.
During her time in high school, she was the social officer for the The Cougar Stars, Cinco Ranch High School’s drill team. In fact, that’s how I first met this sweet girl. The Stars host a kiddie dance camp every year and several years ago my daughters attended. I remember her smile as she greeted us at the check in table. Then, more recently, we crossed paths again when she joined her best friend Sydney at my client appreciation BFF photoshoot event. She had such beautiful energy at the session – I was so thrilled when she reached out to me to schedule her very own senior portrait experience.
At the session consultation (which all clients do so we can plan your session together) Brooke told me she wanted a session that featured the feel of the “open country” along with some Texas wild flowers. I scouted out a few locations to make sure we had the looks she wanted and we highlighted a few different outfits and looks at these spots, including a nod to her future career as a nurse.
We even made a pit stop at a local French bakery for a yummy coffee and a sweet treat in between our locations. I love adding in a little something different (like a bakery) for a bit of variety to the session – plus, since Brooke and I had planned out her outfits in advance, I new her black shirt and denim shorts would coordinate well with this adorable location. We added in a beautiful pink necklace from the Style Closet and we even bought a few macaroons that matched! Lastly, right at sunset, we focused on an artistic feel to showcase her beautiful navy-toned formal gown, and the results were what we both were dreaming of – simply stunning!
A few weeks after her session, we met at the studio with her mom and selected her favorite images. Brooke and her mom Maureen (great name, btw!) chose the Luxe Image Box to display her beautiful portraits!
This grad is heading to TCU in the fall to study nursing, and I am so proud of her! Congratulations, Brooke…can’t wait to see you light up the world with that smile!
